meet our trauma therapists

Danielle Greendyk, LCSW

Therapist

My therapy philosophy…
I believe every person holds deep reserves of strength and resilience—even when those qualities feel out of reach. Therapy is a space to reconnect with that strength.

I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey. My role is to walk alongside you—offering support, insight, and practical tools to help you navigate challenges, heal from trauma, and move toward growth.

At the heart of my work is a strong therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and safe to explore your inner world with honesty and compassion.

My style…
My approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from a range of evidence-based treatments. I tailor therapy to fit you—not the other way around.

I regularly use interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others. Whether we’re working with structured skills or open-ended reflection, I strive to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right.

My most important credentials and successes…
I have extensive training in evidence-based therapies, including CBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, DBT, DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) for PTSD, FBT, SSCM, ACT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Exposure with Response Prevention (ExRP).

Even before becoming a therapist, I supported trauma survivors in a variety of settings—including Holocaust survivors, victims of violent crime, and those impacted by domestic abuse. Trauma work remains central to my practice today.

I also specialize in treating eating disorders and body image concerns. I spent four years as a senior therapist at a leading outpatient eating disorder center, helping clients reclaim peace with food and their bodies.

Fun facts about me…
I left Manhattan to be closer to nature and now spend as much time as I can outdoors—especially hiking and kayaking. I’m a passionate home cook and love hosting dinner parties (I take pride in a well-curated cheese board). I’ve recently taken up growing orchids. So far, they’re thriving—so I must be doing something right.
